Description:This class provides hands-on experience in the development and implementation of networked systems. It is approached from both hardware and software considerations along with NOS (Network Operating System). Students gain a better understanding of the costs, risks, and benefits associated with network implementations through network analysis, design projects, and case studies.

Course Objectives

"Explain the terminology, theory and standard concepts of network design.
Identify basic network security and privacy issues.
Identify hardware and software requirements based on the needs of a situation
"Identify and explain the network environment and how the needs change based on industry, location, finances and personnel.
"Design, diagram and explain complex network architectures that are required in the business environment.
"Complete a full-scale network proposal (elements to include; budget, narrative, diagrams, needs assessment and cover letter.
