Students learn how information analysis and visual design are used to manage the reader/viewer/user experience, and then apply these concepts using common office application software in typical workplace scenarios: presenting financial data, developing hardcopy marketing materials, and designing a social media presence. Students will gain experience in project management and the design lifecycle through a collaborative consulting project, and they will develop a portfolio of small projects demonstrating their design skills.
