Description:This course introduces students to Entrepreneurship inside and outside the organization. The special problems of small businesses are considered. Students study the management and marketing skills necessary to succeed as an independent business owner. This course incorporates lectures, guest speakers, case studies, and business plan preparation.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course, a student will be able to: • Define entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process • Discuss the importance of the entrepreneurial revolution to the U.S. economy and its impact on the nation and the world • Understand how entrepreneurs, innovators, and growing companies aid in job creation, innovation, and new industries • Relate how venture and risk capital fuels growth • Explore the workings of entrepreneurs and their financial backers • Use the skills required to become a successful business leader • Anticipate the realities that accompany most new ventures • Develop a business plan.
