Description:Tourism continues to be one of the world's most rapidly growing industries. This course explores the constantly changing trends in travel and tourism, while taking a global look into the economic, political and social drivers that shape the tourism industry. Students will explore the impact of regional, national and international economic and environmental issues affecting tourism. Additional topics include: social networking and internet marketing opportunities, socio-cultural effects, the role of research in tourism, measuring and forecasting demand, and the future of travel.
