Name:Teaching Students with Exceptional Needs in the Regular Clas
Description:This course introduces prospective teachers to the education of students with exceptional needs and abilities within the regular classroom. Topics include an overview of pertinent Maine and federal laws and regulations, including eligibility for services; characteristics of students with exceptional needs and abilities; instructional strategies, with consideration for learning styles; classroom management and modification; cooperation with families; and the use of assistive services, including appropriate technology.
