Description:This course deals with the interaction with, software for, and management of database systems. This course focuses on installing and configuring database software. It deals with the process of creating tables, queries, and reports as well as the rules of performance tuning. Maintaining a secure database environment is stressed. Students will be given the opportunity to write SQL statements that query and manipulate the database, as well as how to maintain the integrity of the database through backups and restores.
