Thomas College seeks an innovative and self-motivated professional to join our Student Affairs team as an Area Coordinator for the First Year Area within the department of Residential Life. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Students, the Area Coordinator will have responsibilities in supervision of the paraprofessional staff, administration and community development within the first year residential area, sharing on-call duties with one other Area Coordinator, emergency response and operations management. In addition, the Area Coordinator will devote a portion of their time assisting with housing & facilities, programming and community development and staff training and development. The Area Coordinator position is an 11 month, live-in administrative position that would operate outside of traditional business hours.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Higher Education or related field, with a Master's degree preferred, minimum of two years previous experience in Residence Life, good administrative, supervisory and organizational skills, and be able to effectively communicate with students and other campus and community constituents. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and ability to pass the College's vehicle and criminal background check.
